The Tweed Valley Hospital will be a major referral hospital at the heart of the network of hospitals and health facilities across the Tweed-Byron region. It will provide the health services required to meet the needs of the growing population of the region beyond 2032. The development will provide the community access to more health services closer to home, which will enable patients to remain near family, friends and existing support networks. It will reduce the need for 5,000 patients to travel outside the region each year to receive treatment. The hospital will provide: • more operating theatres and recovery spaces • expanded emergency department • enhanced medical, surgical and mental health services • enhanced ambulatory care services including more outpatient clinics • new interventional cardiology service • new radiotherapy service as part of a new integrated cancer care service. Bennett + Bennett provided a range of essential services, including the set-out and as-builts of inground hydraulic and electrical services, the set-out of the building's structure (including slabs on grounds, suspended decks, vertical elements, trade set-out on suspended decks, facade and precast panel set-out), and laser scanning as-built and conformance surveys. In addition, we facilitated dilapidation surveys, carried out post construction detail surveys, provided tenancy lease plans, and completed cadastral surveys that included easements and subdivision. B+B also provided civil set-out, as-built surveys and piling set-out for the peripheral buildings, including the Health Hub Building and the multi-deck carpark.
Established in 1968 on the Gold Coast, we have been privileged to play a significant role in key projects and areas of development that have helped shape South East Queensland and NSW.
