“One of the most important assets in South East Queensland’s bulk water supply system. Water from the weir is pumped to the region’s largest water treatment plants, which supply most of Brisbane & Ipswich’s drinking water’’ Bennett + Bennett were asked to provide 3D documentation of the existing Mt Crosby weir (81m long / 30m wide) which spans the Brisbane river, as well as associated features along Allawah Road. Our specialist laser scanning team utilised the latest High Definition Surveying technology to create a 3D point cloud of the structure and surrounding roads. From this point cloud we generated a 3D model of the weir structure and extracted string, vertex and surface data for the roads.
