We know Queensland day was 6 June 2021 where we celebrated the anniversary of Queensland separating from its big brother, NSW, and going its own way.

Back in 2009, a team of 7 surveyors from Bennett + Bennett conducted a survey of a 150km section of the Qld/ NT Border, to celebrate the 125th year of the original 1884 Survey by Augustus Poeppel.

It so happened that Queensland was also celebrating its 150th year as a Colony separated from NSW.

We present a Visual Summary of that survey, which shows many old survey marks, photos of the magnificent Centre of Australia and the findings of that survey.

For those surveyors out there, this is what raw surveying is all about. Absolutely brilliant.
