Recently the 3rd and last tower of the Brisbane Quarter reached it’s structural peak with the concrete jump form reaching level 83.
It has been a long and enjoyable ‘climb’ for our business and we thank the developer – Shayher Group and the Builder – Multiplex for engaging our teams for their survey needs.

  • ‘ Bennett + Bennett have supported the Brisbane Quarter development (comprising the Brisbane Quarter retail podium, 300 George (the commercial tower), W Brisbane and The One (residential tower)) from as early as 2015, engaged in construction and survey control, planning, subdivision and consulting surveying. In that time, a collaborative approach across the many aspects of professional and consulting surveying has ensured success of the construction works, and the subdivision and titling of the development. Volumetric subdivision of the Brisbane Quarter development, in light of it being a fully integrated mixed use development, has been a complex task, from applications for Reconfiguration of Lot, preparation of the documentation needed and the process to establish the relationships between the lots, the process has been smoothed by the skilled and devoted team at Bennett + Bennett.

In early 2015 we began our works on site for Multiplex following the demolition of the old Brisbane Courts and subsequent excavation and shoring of the large seven (7) level Basement was fully completed.

Multiplex were the successful bidder for the Building of the ‘W’ Hotel and as it turns out were the builders for all 3 Towers and we are fortunate to be a part of that team right through the entire development.

We were engaged in late 2014 by Shayher Group to provide and deliver the volumetric titling works to create the separate parcels via a volumetric subdivision – to deal with the four (4) various site uses – Hotel, Commercial offices, Residential Apartments & Retail floors. This scope also included the retail and commercial tenancy leases and final strata plans for the residential units.

  • On this site was formerly the old Brisbane Law Courts
  • Tower 1: The ‘W’ Hotel is a chain of 5 star hotels owned by Marriott International
  • Tower 2: The Commercial Tower is a 5 star green star building, where the building is steel framed.
  • Tower 3: ‘The One’ will be the equal tallest building in Brisbane at 274.3m height with Brisbane Skytower. That is as high as buildings can be (274.3 metres) in the CBD due to the flight path from the Brisbane Airport.
  • The 4 level Podium – contains the Retail precinct with many dining & entertainment options

Our construction surveyor Zane Rogers has been on this project pretty much from the start working on all 3 buildings providing highly accurate survey control to guide construction.  It was great to be able to celebrate with Zane and some of the support staff that have made the project such a success. and here is a photo of Zane at the top of the tower on the last concrete pour.
