Contemporary 4 storey residential apartment building, designed to compliment the emerging character of the Paradise Point.
Bennett + Bennett recently assisted The Hansard Group in obtaining development approvals for an impact assessable low rise apartment building in Paradise Point on the Gold Coast. Designed by John Campbell Architects, the infill project involves the construction of a contemporary four storey building in an urban setting dominated by older style detached low rise housing.
Key planning issues resolved in the course of the application included justification of building height (which at four storeys represented a 50% increase above the two storey height controlled imposed by the current Planning Scheme); car parking and communal open space relaxations; amenity expectations of neighbouring residents and objections
during the public notification period.
